Two-factor authentication

An additional layer of security for your account.

Two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second verification step at sign-in — typically a time-based code from an authenticator app — making your account significantly harder to compromise even if your password is leaked.

Note

Coming soon. 2FA for user accounts is on the roadmap and not yet available. A 2FA section will be added to your settings page when it's released.

In the meantime

A few things that go a long way while 2FA isn't available yet:

  • Use a strong, unique password for your CueProX account. Don't reuse a password from another service — if that service is breached, your CueProX account becomes exposed too.
  • Keep your email address secure. Password resets are sent by email, so whoever controls your inbox controls your account.
  • If you suspect unauthorized access, contact support@cueprox.com immediately.

What to expect when 2FA launches

Tip

When 2FA is released, you'll be able to enroll any standard TOTP authenticator app — Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, and others all work. The plan is app-based codes only, not SMS, which is intentional: SMS-based 2FA is vulnerable to SIM-swap attacks and isn't meaningfully more secure than a strong password alone.
