Room status indicators

Reading the live / paused / idle pills at a glance.

Room status indicators

On the Rooms tab of a location, each room row shows two small status pills — one for the event, one for the show currently running inside it. They let you see at a glance what's happening across all rooms without opening any of them.

Event pill

The event pill reflects the state of the active event in that room.

  • Live — an event is active and running
  • Paused — the director has paused the event (a short hold, a technical stop, a break)
  • Idle — no event is currently active in this room

Show pill

The show pill reflects whether a show is actively running within the current event.

  • Live — a show is in progress (the director is actively advancing cues)
  • Idle — there is an active event, but no show is currently running

Reading them together

The two pills work in combination. A room with a Live event pill and an Idle show pill means the event is open but between shows — the director may be transitioning, holding, or preparing the next block. A room with both pills showing Live is mid-show.

A room with both pills showing Idle (or no indicator at all) is between events — not currently running anything.

Location card indicator

On the main dashboard, each location card also shows a live indicator badge. This rolls up across all rooms: if any room in a location has an active show, the location card reflects that.

Tip

Status updates in real time — no need to refresh the page. If a room goes live while you're looking at the Rooms tab, the pills update automatically.
