Stage roster
Your room's pool of vocalists and musicians.
Stage roster
The stage roster is your room's list of performers — the vocalists and band members who show up on stage. Once they're in the roster, you can assign them to individual cues to show who's leading vocals or featured on a specific instrument moment.
Where to manage: room config sidebar → Stage tab.
Two categories
Every member of the roster belongs to one of two categories:
Vocal — singers: lead vocalists, backing vocalists, harmony parts.
Band — instrumentalists of any kind.
The category determines which cue solo slots a member appears in. Vocal members show up in vocal slots; band members show up in instrument slots. You set the category when you add the member — custom instruments let you choose it explicitly.
Adding a member
Click + Add at the top of the form. Fill in:
- Instrument — choose from the dropdown. Built-in options: Vocal, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano, Keys / Synth, Drums, Percussion, Cajon, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Flute, Violin, Cello, Harp, Banjo, Mandolin, Backing Track, and Other… for anything not on the list.
- Name — the performer's name as it should appear on outputs.
If you pick Other…, two more fields appear:
- A label for the instrument (e.g., "Didgeridoo", "Lap Steel", "Handpan")
- A category toggle — vocal or band — since the system can't infer the category from a custom instrument
Hit + Add to save. The member appears in the list immediately.
Managing the list
Each member row shows their instrument icon, name, and instrument label. Two actions appear when you hover:
Edit (pencil icon) — change the name, instrument type, or custom label inline. Save with the checkmark or cancel with the X.
Remove (trash icon) — shows a confirmation before deleting. Removing a member also clears any solo assignments that referenced them in existing cues — those slots become empty.
To reorder the list, use the ↑ / ↓ arrow buttons on the left of each row. The order here is the order members appear in the cue form dropdowns.
Permissions
Owner, Director, and Associate Director can view and edit the Stage tab. Q&A Moderator and Crew Member roles don't see it.
