Removing users

Removing someone from a location and what that means.

Removing users

Removing a user from a location revokes all of their access within that location — every room and every team — in one action.

How to remove someone

Go to the People tab inside the location. Find the person's row and click the Remove member button on the right. A confirmation dialog will appear before anything happens.

The confirmation shows their name and explains exactly what will happen: they'll be removed from all rooms and teams in this location, but their account will remain intact and they'll keep any access they have in other locations.

Click Remove member in the dialog to confirm.

Who can remove whom

Removal permissions follow the role hierarchy:

  • Owner can remove anyone in the location, except themselves.
  • Director can remove Associate Directors, Q&A Moderators, Crew Members, and Observers — but not peer Directors or the Owner.
  • Associate Director can remove Q&A Moderators, Crew Members, and Observers — but not Directors or peer Associate Directors.
  • Crew Member / Observer cannot remove anyone.

If the remove button doesn't appear next to a particular person, it means your role doesn't permit removing them.

Note

Removing a user does not delete their account. They'll still be able to sign into CueProX, access any other locations they're part of, and use any features their account has. You can re-invite them to this location at any time. Removal only affects access within this specific location.

Removing vs. deleting

There's no way to delete another person's account through CueProX (only a user can delete their own account). "Remove member" only severs their connection to this location. If you need to block access entirely, removing them from all locations achieves that in practice.
